'8th Economic Census to be held in 2027': Statistics Secretary Saurabh Garg

India will conduct its eighth Economic Census in 2027. This census will follow the population census. Data from the Economic Census will establish a statistical business register. This register will map all enterprises across states. It will track their operational status. The Economic Census provides vital information for policy decisions.
