Anthropic close to raising $20 billion at $350 billion valuation: report

The funding, which comes just five months after the AI startup raised $13 billion in a Series F round, is being co-led by Founders Fund, D E Shaw, Dragoneer, ICONIQ, and the UAE-based MGX. With the latest, the cumulative funding for Anthropic would exceed $40 billion. Investors such as Sequoia and Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund are now backing rival AI firms — Anthropic and OpenAI — simultaneously as they try to cash in on the AI wave, which could ring in far-reaching changes in the industry.
