The Bombay Natural History Society recorded 809 shorebirds during the Asian Waterbird Census at Akshi Beach, Alibaug. Conducted with the Maharashtra Forest Department’s Mangrove Cell, the exercise aims to track migratory trends and assess wetland health for long-term conservation.
