Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, observes Teacher’s Day

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh Kendra, encompassing its three campuses, observed Teacher’s Day with solemn reverence and heartfelt gratitude. The occasion was honoured by the presence of RK Saboo, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh Kendra, and Madhukar Malhotra, honorary secretary. A highlight of the celebrations was the felicitation of three distinguished educators from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh Kendra, for their exemplary service. Amandeep Raja, TGT, Social Science, Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, received the Late Simrat Singh Gill Memorial Award for being the Best Teacher. Anju Mohan, Librarian, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, was conferred with the Kulapati Munshi Award for Best Teacher 2024 and Saranjeet Kaur, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Junior Wing, was honoured with the Bhavan’s Jindal Award. The day concluded with a ceremonial cake cutting organised by BOSS (Bhavan’s Old Students’ Society), symbolising the timeless bond between Bhavan alumni and their mentors. The management hosted a special lunch at Hotel Shivalik View, Chandigarh, fostering camaraderie and a spirit of celebration.
