Commerce Ministry selects 5 companies under PLI White Goods scheme; production to hit ₹8,337 cr

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has provisionally selected five companies under the fourth round of the PLI Scheme for White Goods following evaluation of 13 applications. The selected companies—Kirloskar Pneumatic, Indo-Asia Copper, Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing, Kryon Technology, and Pranav Vikas (India)—have committed investments of ₹863 crore for AC component manufacturing. These companies are expected to achieve production of ₹8,337.24 crore and generate 1,799 direct jobs by FY 2027-28. Overall, 85 companies under the scheme are expected to invest ₹11,198 crore and generate cumulative production of ₹1,90,050 crore.
