Cong accuses Centre of insulting Tagore, Nehru, Gandhi

The Congress on Friday accused the Centre of using Parliament to settle political scores and undermine the legacy of figures who shaped modern India. Congress general secretary in-charge of communications Jairam Ramesh alleged that the 19-day session was a calculated political exercise, starting with what he called disrespect towards Rabindranath Tagore and ending with legislation that he described as an affront to Mahatma Gandhi.
