FMCG Distributors' Body Urges SEBI To Halt IPOs Of Loss-Making Quick-Commerce Firms

The All India Consumer Products Distributors Federation has formally requested SEBI to temporarily halt IPOs of loss-making quick-commerce companies, representing over 4.5 lakh distributors and 1.3 crore retail outlets. The federation cites concerns about companies with large cumulative losses, negative cash flows, and business models sustained through private capital infusions, while highlighting examples like Zomato and Swiggy that listed despite sustained losses.
