Graham Linehan arrested at Heathrow over posts on X

Graham Linehan, Irish writer, known as the creator of Father Ted, Black Books, and The IT Crowd, was arrested at Londons Heathrow Airport on September 1, 2025, in regard to controversial tweets on transgender individuals. In a Substack post, Linehan recounted being confronted by five armed police officers and detained for three specific tweets. He experienced health issues during questioning and was then hospitalized. Linehan denies allegations of harassing a transgender woman and destroying her phone.
