The World Cancer Day 2026 theme, ‘United by Unique’ highlights that every individual’s journey is different but prevention is a shared responsibility. Prevention, early screening and open conversations not only reduce risk but ultimately death. Dr Simarpreet Sandhu, Oral Pathologist, who served as the secretary-general of the Asian Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologists and Zonal Coordinator (North Zone), IDA National Oral Cancer Registry, in an interview with Lovleen Bains, talks about the rise in the caseload of oral and lung cancer with the use of hookah and vaping.
