The Indian government has prohibited exports of raw, white, and refined sugar until September 30, 2026, or until further orders, to ensure adequate domestic supply and contain local prices amid lower expected production. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade issued the notification, while allowing limited exports to the EU and US under quota arrangements and the Advance Authorisation Scheme.
