India in touch with US on penalty tariffs: Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri

India is engaging with the US regarding upcoming penalty tariffs. These tariffs are expected to take effect on August 27. Prime Minister Modi will visit Japan starting August 29, 2025. The visit aims to strengthen ties and discuss Indo-Pacific cooperation. India and Japan are also enhancing defense cooperation. They are co-developing radar technology for the Indian Navy.
