Iran Says It Has ‘No Trust’ In US After Trump Xi Talks, Hormuz Tensions Remain High

Just hours after US President Donald Trump concluded talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Iran signalled deep mistrust toward Washington amid stalled ceasefire negotiations. Speaking in New Delhi, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said Tehran would continue negotiations only if the US showed seriousness toward diplomacy. He also confirmed Pakistan mediated talks remain stalled while warning Iran is prepared to return to fighting if diplomacy collapses. The remarks come as tensions continue around the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical oil shipping routes.
