Make Mappls must in all PLI smartphones: MapmyIndia to govt

In the last 10-15 days, MapmyIndia has seen a ten times increase in daily downloads after IT minister Ashwini Vaishnaw publicly endorsed Mappls, alongside Zoho, as Indian alternatives to products by foreign tech companies. However, government business accounts for less than a fifth of MapmyIndia’s annual revenue, which stood at Rs 463 crore in FY25. The largest segment is automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), which contributed 40% to revenue.
