Microsoft has signed a major offtake agreement with Indian startup Varaha to sequester 2 million tonnes of CO2. The project will deploy 18 industrial biochar reactors across India’s cotton belt, turning agricultural waste into durable carbon storage while boosting smallholder farmer incomes
