Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav inspected the Union Carbide site in Bhopal and announced plans to develop it as an industrial region and memorial. He praised officials for disposing of toxic waste and blamed Congress for negligence. The 1984 gas leak killed thousands and caused long-term health and environmental damage.
