OpenAI is developing AI-powered hardware including a smart speaker, smart glasses and a smart lamp, reports said. The move follows its $6.5 billion acquisition of Jony Ive’s startup. The speaker, expected by 2027, may feature a camera, facial recognition and context-aware ChatGPT responses, raising privacy concerns.
