Political Tussle In BMC Over Private Adoption Of Municipal Schools

A heated debate broke out in the BMC general body as Congress corporator Haider Ali Sheikh urged cancellation of the municipal school adoption policy. The ruling BJP rejected the motion, defending private organizations’ role. Sheikh highlighted hiring of teachers without TET certification, raising concerns over students’ education in newly launched ICSE, CBSE, IB, and IGCSE municipal schools.
