PV sales dip 9% in August; two-wheelers up 7%

Published on: Sept. 15, 2025, 11:28 p.m. | Source: The Financial Express

Passenger vehicle dispatches in India saw a 9% decline in August due to companies adjusting supply levels to match subdued retail demand. Siam director general Rajesh Menon attributed this to customers delaying purchases in anticipation of a GST rate reduction. However, two- and three-wheelers showed resilience with a 7% and 8% increase in dispatches, respectively. | financialexpress.com
