Renowned sculptor Ram Sutar, creator of the world’s tallest Statue of Unity, died at 100 in Noida. A JJ School gold medallist, he shaped India’s modern monumental art through iconic statues of Gandhi, Patel, Shivaji and Ambedkar. Honoured with Padma awards, he remained creatively active until his final days, leaving a towering artistic legacy.
