Rural Economy Gains Momentum As Women From 6 Districts Trade Nearly 3.75 Lakh Litres Of Milk Daily

Women from nearly 1,500 villages across six Uttar Pradesh districts have generated business worth about ₹850 crore through the Samarthya Milk Producer Company. Collecting around 3.75 lakh litres of milk daily, the initiative has boosted rural incomes and created sustainable livelihoods. Officials said 14,500 women have already become ‘Lakhpati Didis’ through the dairy model.
