Trump says Palestinian statehood would reward Hamas

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday told the UN General Assembly that recognizing a Palestinian state would unduly reward Hamas. He called for an immediate end to the Gaza war and urged countries supporting peace to unite in demanding the release of hostages still held by the militant group.
