More than 10,000 women in Uttar Pradesh have reportedly become ‘lakhpatis’ through the Prerna Canteen initiative promoted under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Over 2,100 women-run canteens are operating across districts, including at government offices and health centres, providing affordable meals while generating steady monthly incomes for self-help group members.
