USAID didn't receive funding of $21 million for voter turnout in India: US Embassy to MEA

The US Embassy clarified that USAID/India did not fund voter turnout activities in India between 2014 and 2024. This statement came after the Ministry of External Affairs sought details on USAID-funded projects. The US Embassy plans to close all USAID operations in India by August 15, 2025. A review of USAID operations was ongoing.
